Google Analytics was launched in November 2005. This was the first time an enterprise-class web analytics product had been offered for free. Initially, demand far exceeded Google's capactity to accept new sign ups. Demand for Google Analytics is still increasing but Google have finally got to a point where they can cater for that demand.
Google has recently announced that there is no longer a waiting time for Google Analytics accounts. Google Analytics accounts are free and provide valuable web site statistics and information on visitor behavior. You can find out more about Google Analytics at http://www.google.com/analytics.
