Web Development ArticlesWeb Dev News: Shoutwire - Social News Article Site
Published: 14th Oct 2006
Shoutwire is a relatively new social news site similiar to digg. Shoutwire is refreshing in its simplicity and hopefully it will remain a relatively simple service as this seems to work to its advantage.
Shoutwire enables you to submit articles or news stories to various categories which can then be voted on by other users. This is a great way of gaining exposure for your own content or blog posts etc... as long as they're of a decent quality... otherwise no-one will vote for them! Shoutwire has a smaller user base than sites like digg which means fewer stories being submitted. Don't get me wrong, there are a fair few stories submitted every hour... but a less intimidating amount than a site like digg attracts. After a certain amount of votes, stories get promoted to the Shoutwire homepage. This is a similar feature to that of digg. Look out for stories from this site on Shoutwire and feel free to "Shout" them if you feel they deserve it! Technorati keywords: shoutwire, social news, shoutwire news, shoutwire articles. ![]() Related LinksRelated Articles / PostsHSBC XML API / CPI E-commerce Integrations (02/04/2009) Photoshop to Valid XHTML/CSS Coding Service (30/03/2009) Reasons Businesses should Embrace the Web (20/03/2009) Google tells users to drop Internet Explorer 6 (05/01/2009) How to Display Your Catalogues or Brochures Online (28/10/2008) |
